I love tattooing face imagery, the bigger the better - however, I don’t think of myself as a portrait artist.

I love using facial images as reference and making them into something new 🤙

Latest piece I’ve been working on, pushing the charcoal around til it looks cool. #nothingsacred

New coffee shop for me. I foresee lots of sketching here, though right now it’s peak leaf-peeper season (which does bring its own entertainment).

“Ready to ride and spread the alarm through every Middlesex village and farm, for the country-folk to be up and to arm!” - Longfellow, from The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere

Had a blast doing this on one of my longest-term clients, tried to get a video but with the way it wraps around the lower leg, wouldn’t have worked without a rotisserie.

One of my favorites. I keep telling myself I should draw something other than “just skulls”, but they’re too much fun and there’s no limit to how you can change em up, every one different.

#coffeeshop drawing. I should probably break out the technical pens more often, don’t use them much, but I do enjoy them.

Most of my clients know I’m a car guy - just got back from 2 days in Newport RI at the Audrain Concours/Motor Week, where my oldest nephew @ze_funny_gguy and I have been volunteering during the event for the past several years. This year they had us directing traffic for a bit: no worries, the back-up was only 2 miles long! Thrown in to the deep end, we persevered, undaunted 💪

We saw some of the rarest cars on the planet, had a few cigars, saw Jay Leno making his rounds, an ex-president (never seen one of those before), got to meet some new people and hang with friends, and the weather couldn’t have been better.

Already looking forward to next year’s adventure 🤘

Seeing as it’s a wet, crappy Monday, seemed a good time to revisit this stalled charcoal drawing from last year. Maybe finish it, or just make a little progress and pick it back up in another year 🤷‍♂️
